Stop Eating Sugar and Junk Food

Stop eating sugar and junk food. The cure to clear skin.

It may seem odd but this is the cure for clear skin. The cure to Dyshidrotic Eczema is to stop eating sugar and junk food. Really, that is the cure. Sugar is the main culprit for Dyshidrotic Eczema. My doctor prescribed a steroid cream and the side effects were redness and thinning. Stop using steroid creams and start eating clean. But how do you start?  Junk food and processed foods have sugar.  There are so many junk food/processed foods, we get confused on what is good food vs bad food. Boxed mac and cheese can be avoided by making your own with quality ingredients and margarine can be substituted for olive oil.

Examples of junk food are: candy, cereals, fast food restaurants, chips, soda, microwaveable foods, chocolate, ice cream, fruit juices, and cookies. Eat clean food such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts. As for the meat category: pork, chicken, beef, and seafood, choose GMO- free, no antibiotics or added hormones, and wild caught for seafood.

For now, bread, potatoes, and white rice should be avoided until you have cleared your dyshidrotic skin. These foods have sugar, they are not junk food but to completely clear Dyshidrotic Eczema, we need to cut down on these foods until your skin has cleared. Once your skin has cleared, start eating bread slowly. If you see a small blister, that means stop eating bread and choose another food. However if eating bread does not cause blister, eat one bread a day, two days later eat one again. We need to slowly introduce foods one by one again. Start a food diary and write down the food that triggers your skin. Some people with dyshidrotic eczema cannot tolerate oatmeal. For me, oatmeal aggravated my skin. I have removed oatmeal off my diet and it has helped.

Does this mean, I can no longer eat a cookie, candy, chocolate, cereals, protein bars, granola or drink soda/pop anymore? Absolutely not! But you want to cure your dyshidrotic eczema right? Start by eliminating sugar from your diet. Once you have taken control of dyshidrotic eczema slowly work the foods. After two weeks, the fluid blisters are gone, followed by dry skin. With determination and patience, after 3 months, I have clear skin. Maintaining a healthy diet by eating clean, avoiding sugar binges, and junk food will cure your dyshidrotic eczema.
